ABOUT

I have been a practicing visual artist for over fifty years, exhibiting nationally and internationally.   My mediums have included painting, stained glass, fiber art, photography.  I was an art museum administrator for 39 years, where the vast collections of world cultures have had a profound effect on my art practice.  Formally training as a painter, my painting practice evolved over 25 years, and for reasons inexplicable even to me I abandoned painting. I became increasingly interested in textiles and textile techniques and I developed a method for knitting with beads combining my respect for hand crafts found in indigenous cultures, a love of pattern through textiles, worldwide, and my reverence for nature.  Trained Indiana University
